Baseline replacement interval
The XWFE record lists a 6-month service interval. Replace at whichever limit the manufacturer specifies first.
Replace sooner when needed
Earlier replacement can be appropriate when flow falls noticeably, taste or odor changes, the refrigerator has been unused for an extended period, or the indicator reaches its replacement state.
Do not reset early
Resetting the light does not restore filter capacity. Record the installation date and keep the old SKU until the new cartridge is confirmed to fit without force or leakage.
